The new Valisera Gondola in the Vorarlberg ski resort of Silvretta Montafon is the first AURO ropeway in Austria and the second installation in the world to be equipped with this system. AURO stands for "Autonomous Ropeway Operation" and describes the autonomous passenger operation of a ropeway.

The congress starts with a welcome dinner and registration on Monday, June 17th, in the evening. Monday morning it is possible within the framework of the get together to make a city tour (limited number of participants, first come first served). Official programme from Tuesday 09.00 a.m. until Friday evening.

Yes, it is possible to participate only in the congress on TUE and WED. There is no reduction of the participation fee, though.

Yes, the Hyatt Hotel is the central congress hotel for all speeches, lunch and dinner. It is also the starting point for all excursions.

A lot of sunshine, minor precipitation and pleasant temperatures around 22°C (71.6 F) invite you to discover the multicultural city.
For the excursions at approx. 2000 metres above sea level we recommend sturdy shoes, long pants, a jacket, cap and sunscreen.

Outside the congress hours you can book individual excursions on your own responsibility.

Official language of the congress is English, with simultaneous interpretation in German, Spanish and French. Some French speeches will be interpreted simultaneously in the other languages.

Tipping is part of North American culture. Not giving a tip means a clear statement on your part that you were absolutely not satisfied with the service. Around 15% of the invoice total is usual. Rule of thumb: The smaller the sum, the more it tends towards 20% and the larger the invoice amount, the more likely 10-15% might be ok. And it’s not just about pubs and restaurants. Hairdressers, taxi drivers and guides also expect a tip. The tips for the hotelservice and the excursions are covered by OITAF.

As a general rule, children may attend as guests, but at their own risk. There is no childcare available on site.

You can pay almost everything with your credit card, even small amounts like a drink at the gas station or parking fees. The most common credit cards are Mastercard and Visa. Cash is not absolutely necessary and can be retrieved from local ATMs.
